LaTroy Farrow | Operations Manager

Growing up in Louisville, Kentucky was an experience that made Coach Farrow realize that education was the avenue in which he could attain his goals in life. After graduating from Moore Traditional High School, Coach Farrow attended Kentucky Wesleyan College on a basketball scholarship. This is when he discovered his passion for mentorship.

After graduating with a degree in Sociology and later earning a Masters degree in Sport Psychology from Argosy University, he began his coaching and mentoring career. The journey began fifteen years ago in Rockford, Illinois with the Rockford Lightning of the Continental Basketball Association (CBA). This opportunity lead to him developing some legions of the such as: Ronnie Fields (Farragut H.S); Stais Boseman (Houston Rockets); Teddy Dupay (University Florida); and Carson Cunningham (Purdue University) are just to name a few. Coach Farrow was also the Director of Public Relations with the organization and lead community service projects. He then moved on to coach at Gannon University in Erie Pennsylvania where he was the lead recruiter and Academic Progress Monitor for three years.

While in Erie, Coach Farrow also worked with troubled youth in the Erie Public School system as a mentor and a counselor. Coach farrow was then named the Head Basketball Coach with Quad City River Hawks in the Premier Basketball League (PBL). At this time, he was the youngest coach in the League and his team captured the Western conference title in his first and only season with the organization.

Coach Farrow then arrived at Urban Prep Charter Academy in Chicago, Illinois. With his coaching strategies and mentoring of the team members, the basketball program turned around to become successful. During his time there, they captured four conference titles, and he was named Chicago Public League Basketball Coach Association (C.P.L.B.C.A) coach of the year four times. While achieving athletic accomplishments, Coach Farrow was also ensuring that every student athlete he coached attended a four-year college or university.
